Brian Bartolec is a distinguished professional serving as Shadow Wood Country Club’s Chief Operating Officer.

Brian has had a passion for golf for as long as he can remember. You could say that passion runs in his family, as his father and grandfather were also avid golfers.

Brian Bartolec looked up to his father and grandfather from a very young age. He watched both participate in the PGA and Champions Tours and took note of their play. He went on to play golf for Michigan State University while earning his degree. That passion for golf led Brian to where he is now: Shadow Wood Country Club.

In his role as Chief Operating Officer for the club, Brian uses his passion as well as unique professional skillset in order to continually improve the club and the experience of its members.

Bartolec earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and General Management from the Eli Broad School of Business at Michigan State University. Brian went on to become General Manager for the TPC Eagle Trace in Coral Springs. The Tournament Players Club Eagle Trace is an 18-hole private facility and the former site of the PGA TOUR event, “The Honda Classic.” The TPC at Eagle Trace is part of a twenty-three club Tournament Players Club.

Next, Brian Bartolec went on to become Pelican Marsh Golf Club’s Chief of Operations. Pelican Marsh Golf Club is a private member owned golf club with over 325 golfing memberships. Pelican Marsh Golf Club is the former host site of the Champions Tour “Ace Classic”.

Brian has served as Chief Operating Officer/ General Manager of Shadow Wood Country Club for over seven years. In that time, Bartolec ensured that every single member was tended to and had the best possible experience at Shadow Wood. Shadow Wood Country club is a world-renowned golf course that also features tennis courts, bocce ball courts and a full dining menu, among many other amenities. Year after year, Shadow Wood’s membership grows and that is a direct testament to their Chief Operating Officer, Brian Bartolec.

One of his greatest accomplishments to date is leading the club through the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Brian led Shadow Wood Country Club with poise and dignity in the face of financial uncertainty, and the club is doing better than ever because of his team’s leadership.

Brian Bartolec is a member of the Professional Golfers Association of America and the Club Managers Association of America. When Brian is not at the club, you can find him soaking up Florida’s sun with his family!
